The entire Madrid Metro network is equipped with Automatic Train Protection (ATP) systems from Dimetronic Signals.  As well as this, Lines 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 have the Automatic Train Operation (ATO) system supplied by Dimetronic.

Expansion plans have also seen the introduction of innovative, state-of-the-art technologies developed by Dimetronic. In addition to the consolidation of our electronic interlocking, the new technology of Distance-To-Go (DTG) has been also been introduced in Lines 8, 10 and Metrosur. This new system allows the operation with ATP/ATO to achieve lower headway than the previous ATP system.
